APRIL 17, 1969 ROSSPORT Mr. and Mrs. Sten Lif who have been visiting the former's parents have returned to Chochenour . Mr. and Mrs. Herb Legault made a business trip to Fort William this week. Mr. and Mrs. L. Paradis are holidaying with rel- atives in Quebec. . ; Mr «and Mrs. David Mushqush and family were weekend visitors to Port Arthur. Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Douglass of Beardmore were weekend visitors with Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Todesco. Mr. and Mrs. O. Foreman have returned from Vancouver where they spent the winter. Mrs. M. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Campbell of Elliott Lake visit- ed Mrs. Josephine Gerow over the weekend. Mrs. Mildred Price and Mrs. Anne Todesco have ' returned from Sudbury and North Bay. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rochon and family have left to reside in Elliott Lake, Ontario. Harry Bain is home from McKellar hospital . Mrs. P. Sully has fleft to spend the summer with _ relatives in Vancouver B.C. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Legault are holidaying in Toronto and Belleville. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley were business visitors to Nipigon this week. ALTAR SOCIETY MEETS Mrs. C.W. Todesco hosted the meeting of the St. Berchman's Altar Society Thursday evening with nine members present answering roll call with novelties for a sale and donations to the money jar. President Mrs. E. Gerow led in prayers for the sick of the parish and two deceased former pastors, Rev. Father Morris and Rev. Father Reonicke. Mrs. Felix Leg- ault presented a satisfactory fincial statement and Mrs. Herb Legault read the minutes and correspon- dance. A report was heard on the cards mailed by the Friendship Secretary. The president reported on hiring Felix Legault to install steel rods in the church. The servitors were Mesdames Glorie Miller, Lilyan Christie, Alice Sparkes, Marion Simon, Vi Rigelsford, and Gladys Hamilton and Eirene Harness Mesdames Beth Macadam, Lorraine Fadden, Jessie McCanna and Miss Irene Spicer were the kitchen committee. The table of baking and the draws on cakes were in charge of Mrs. Mildred Smith, Mrs, Agnes Bryson and Mrs. Annie Niemi. The cake draws were won by Mrs. Fred Harness and Mrs. Alvin Slater. Mr. and Mrs. Percy Page of Port Arthur visited with Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Whent last week. Mrs. Lillian Christie has returned from Toronto where she spent the past three weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Michael Dorken. Mrs. John Clyne of Winnipeg is visiting her nephews.
