So under the skilled and knowledgeable leadership of David Courtemanche the Recreation Director of Terrace Boy, and a lot of encouragement by their two leaders, Madames Jones and Vanderkam, the group got together to form a new type of hockey for young ladies called Ringette, thus introducing 'Ringette' to North Western Ontario for the first time. Mr. Courtemanche had occasional help fram Paul Dakin and Trent Desaulnier with the referee ing. Towards the end of the season the Guides were joined by other enthusiastic girls, and for a final climax to their work the girls team challenged a boys' Gordon Ml.
