LEGION ANNIVERSARY MARKED A birthday party and social evening marking the anniversary the ladies auxiliary to Branch 109, Royal Canadian Legion, was set for May 10 at their regular April meeting . There were 14 members and one visitor, Mrs. Sally Wood, attending - Mrs. Wood awaiting her transfer from the Kakabeka auxiliary to Schreiber . An invitation was received from White River Aux- iliary to attend their birthday celebration on April 26 and those intending to go are asked to contact Mrs. Georgina Davis. Mrs. Jack Winters presided and gave a report on the district meeting which she and Mrs. Davis attended in Kakabeka recently. Members voted in favor of working at the minor hockey banque date of the event not yet set. The auxiliary scholarship, presented annually to the Schreiber high school was increased from $50.00 to $100.00. Social nights for April will be on the 15th and 29th.
