Tickets will be sold by members of the Students' Council or may be purchased at the door. » MEET YOUR TEACHER | Mr. Gordon, who teach es English at Schreiber High School, was born in Port Arthur, Ontario. He received his elem- entary and secondery education in Schreiber. He graduated to attend the University of Man- University. He returned to see what it was like on the other side of the desk and he says he enjoys teaching here very much. Mr. Gordon is a great asset to us as director of the Yearbook Committee. His hobbies include curling, bridge and badminton. CRAFT DISPLAY - The-Schreiber High School gym- nasium was the scene of a very attractive craft dis- play, Sunday March 2nd. The Schreiber Parks and Recreation Committee sponsored this wcrthwhile event Besides the entries from the Lakehead and Area, in- cluding rug hooking, wood carving, copper jewelry and paper mache, Schreiber residents contributed four striking oil paintings and two very attractive rock displays. Films were shown in a separate room depicting Danish and Japanese craftsmen at work. He attended the Ontario Forest Ranger School fa one year, then contin- ued on to Waterloo Lutheran Universtiy where he received his . Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in Biology. He then furthered his education at the University of Michigan. Mr. Yungblut accepted his position at Schreiber High School because he preferred Northern Ontarip due to the fact that his favourite sports of hunting and fishing are widespread here. TEACHERS VISIT Last week at Holy f " Angels' School , q teachers from Nipigor Red Rock visited and saw in action many of the classes in our schout. Miss Diane Parker and Sister Andre Marie - observed in Miss Holmes grade 2 class, while Mrs. Lorila and Mrs. Langtan were in the grade 3 room. The visiting teachers showed great interest in the children and the primary programme as they talked and worked with many different groups and individ- vals. In the senior division Sister Carola and Sister -- Mariesa gave special guidance anda talk on the nursing profession to the grade sevens and eights. Sister St. Timothy introduced Sister Carola and Sister Mariesa to the grade eight class. ; Sister Francis Paul, from Nipigon entertained the grade sevens and eights with a hootenanny.
