They came to help mark the 86th birthday of Mr. Jim Harris on August 4th. Mr. Harris makes his home with his daughter Liz - Mrs. Harry Prescott Others bringing congratulations were daughters Alice (Mrs. Jack McCouan), Margaret (Mrs. Russell Wea- ver) and Eleanor (Mrs. Charlie Boon). AUGUST 15, 1968 SCHREIBER SUMMER RECREATION PROGRAM Sixty children from 5 to 9 years of age are bging entertained and educated by play methods in classes held in the Separate school in Schreiber. The classes began on July 15th and continued until August 2, from 9 to 12. a.m. daily, with the excep- tion of weekends. The leaders, Brenda Lalonde, Susan Hawke, Joyce Cluett, Carolyn Glad, Monica Frommann, Arlene Connelly, and Shirley Winters who taught the kids were sponsored in their course by the local munici- pal council. The program included indoor and out- door projects with special events such as a Powow, Field Day events, Walt Disney Day, Tea Parties and a Western Day. The project was being run by. the Recreation Committee in conjunction with their Swim program. It proved most successful .
