Hiller, who has left Schrei- ber to live in Fort William, was honor- ed at a tea arrang- ed in the home of Mrs. R. Macadam, assisted by Mesdam- ee es B. Simon, A. po Gordon, A.Major, a and G. Gordon. Tea was poured by Mrs. F. Macadam and Mrs. T. Wilson. The house was filled with friends coming to offer good wishes to Mrs. Hiller who came to Schreiber as a bride. Mrs. Macadam presented many lovely gifts on be- half of the guests. On behalf of the Ruby Lodge, of which Mrs. Hiller was a long time member, a gift of jewellery was presented. From the United Church Womem Mrs .Wesley Clemens presented a gift of lingerie ia tribute to Mrs. Hiller's many year's association as member and president of the former Ladies Aid of St. Andrew's United Church. Among friends attending the occasion from out of town were Mrs. C. Todesco and Mrs. T. Bryson celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary cecently, although the date of celebration was to be December 21, 1967. This was due fo the ill health of both. Mr. and Mrs. Bryson were married in St. Cuth- bert's Church in Gateshead, Durham, England, by the Rev. Harold Harper. They came to Schreiber to 1912; Mr. Bryson preceeding in 1911, bringing their daughter Jean, the late Mrs. Douglas Morri- son of Edmonton. Their other children, Jack of Schreiber, and Lillie, Mrs. Georges Legault of Montreal, were born in Schreiber. The Bryson's have five grandchildren, Rodney, Jimmy, Bobbie, and Ricky; sons of Jack Bryson; David Legault of Montreal, and one great grandson - Kenny Bryson of Dartsmouth, N.S. - son of Rodney Bryson. Both Rodney and Jimmy are in the Navy at Halifax. During all their younger years, Mr. and Mrs. Bryson were prominent in musical circles in Schrei- ber; "Jimmy" with a golden tenor voice, and Mrs. _ Bryson an accomplished pianist.
