SRE. Page 8 LADIES' AUXILIARY MEETING HEL D The afternoon group of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the _| Community Church met Monday afternoon with Mrs. T. Dorland in the chair. ular secretary, Mrs. J. Bi ead the minutes of the last meeting. There were 16 ladies present. Mrs. J. Schritt led-in the worship service with Mrs. J. Roberts at the piano. The secretary read a letter from' Adam Fiddler United Church, Sandy Lake, Ont- ario. After two and a half years, the Church has an ordained minister, and a healthy, working congrega- tion. They asked assistance in procuring supplies such as games, good literature, sewing material and Scout supplies for a Scout Troop. A donation of $20. was made to be used as needed. _~ President Mrs. Dorland expressed sympathy to Mr.& Mrs. Bob Harris, in the loss of Bob's mother. An invitation was issued fo join the ladies of the evening group at their meeting December 4. The business meeting will be at 8 .15 p.m. and husbands are asked to join the ladies at 9 p.m. The next meeting of the afternoon group will take place in January with a pot luck luncheon and in lieu of bringing gifts, each lady is asked to bring a dollar, to go towards the next church project. Mrs. Dorland thanked those who donated and help- ed pack seven cartons of clothing for needy families. Members are reminded of the bazaar on Saturday, November 25. Those who haven't already done so are asked to turn in articles for this event. Lunch was served by Mrs. A.Almos and Mrs. T. Dorland. he absence of the reg- P.S.1. SURVEY BEING CONDUCTED All Kimberly-Clark employees have received pam- phlets describing the P.S.1. Extended Health Bene- fits Plan. If 75% sign and return the enrolment cards the plan will go into effect early in the new year on a voluntary basis. Signed enrolment cards must be returned by November .24th. Pamphlets and enrolment cards are available at the Employment Office for anyone who may have been missed in the canvass. GRESDAL On Wednesday after- noon at two o'clock, funeral services were held for Mrs. C. Gresdal who passed away Sunday,' November 12. Pallbearers were: Howard Solly, Bill Megraw, Ted Brown, Hugh Ham-| -- ilton, Charles Sitch and Rolly Scowen. From. out-of-town were son, Gary Gresdal and his wife, Irene; from Kingston; Mr. & Mrs. R. Gaulin, Red Rock; Melvin Hagan and Mrs. Patsy Blanchette, Nipigon; and Mr. T. Pollard, Sr., of Port Arthur. Interment was in Terrace Bay Cemetery. LADY CURLERS BRING HOME PRIZES The ladies: rinks for the Terrace Bay Curling Club took part in a Marathon Bonspiel last weekend and The Peggy Wellings rink of Ann Latour, Connie Cvitkovich and Pat LeBlanc of Marathon won first prize in the second event arid the Ida Romanuk rink of Norma Crockford, Maria Hermes, and Charlotte Scheuchenpflug took fourth prize in the second event. Nice going ladies! BOWLING TOURNAMENT HELD A ladies and gents Handicap Tournament was held (continued on Page 9)
