January 12, 1967 1967 TOWNSHIP COUNCIL MEETS Present at the meeting were Reeve Cavanaugh, R.Bray, D.Desrosiers, J.Caccamo, and R.Sinnott. Considerable correspondence was dealt with and accounts for payment are: Public Library $397 .43, Hydro Department $6,654.63, Township General $4,327.31, Recreation Committee $3,089.21, Snack Bar $2,794.88. Re-appointed to Terrace Bay Public Library are: Mr.J.G.Brooks, Mr.R.Roberts, Mr.H.Ratchford, Mrs. M.Dorland, Mrs. S.Angus. The Terrace Bay Recreation Committee was brough up to full strength and regular meetings of Council were set as the 2nd. and 4th. Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. By-Law #185 received final approval. The by- law established general policies for agreements as a condition to the approval of a plan of sub- division. Resolution passed: that because we are now celebrating our |00th birthday, that school Boards and all others concerned be requested to augment their Canadian Maple Leaf flag with a Centennial Flag for the balance of 1967. A By-Law was requested for the Minister of Municipal Affairs to appoint a District Assessor . This was given final approval .
