December 15, 1966 NOTICE OF AN NUAL MEETING The Annual Meeting of the supporters of St. Martin's Separate School will be held in the school on Wednesday, December 28, 1966 at 8.00 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is to hear the report of the Board of Trustees and elect one Trustee to fill the vacancy on the Board due to expiration of term of office. OPEN HOUSE HELD AT PUB LIC SCHOOL Despite near blizzard conditions and low temperatures last Thursday, a good number of parents took the opportunity to visit the school to see their children's work and to talk with teachers. Each room had something different to offer in the way of displays of both academic progress and creativity. One such was the Grade 2 partly- finished model of the townsite of Terrace Bay. TERRACE BAY NEWS Page ALFRED LAURENSON RETIRES : On December 9, Kimberly-Clark Pulp & Paper Company held a luncheon to honour Alfred Lauren- son, Mill Painter, who retires after 15-1/2 years of service. Present at the lunch were a number of his fellow workers and Company representatives. Mill Manager John Ferrier presented him with his Company Gold Pass, a framed aerial photo of Terrace Bay and a document outlining his life term pension. Mr. Laurenson will be leaving Terrace B ay to reside on a small farm he owns near Port Arthur, Ontario. Best wishes are extended to Alf for a long and happy retirement. ART EXHIBIT OPENS The Terrace Bay Motor Hotel was the setting of the opening of an art exhibit b y Mary Middaugh on Saturday.
