Each room had something different to offer in the way of displays of both academic progress and creativity. One such was the Grade 2 partly- finished model of the townsite of Terrace Bay. TERRACE BAY NEWS Page ALFRED LAURENSON RETIRES : On December 9, Kimberly-Clark Pulp & Paper Company held a luncheon to honour Alfred Lauren- son, Mill Painter, who retires after 15-1/2 years of service. Present at the lunch were a number of his fellow workers and Company representatives. Mill Manager John Ferrier presented him with his Company Gold Pass, a framed aerial photo of Terrace Bay and a document outlining his life term pension. Mr. Laurenson will be leaving Terrace B ay to reside on a small farm he owns near Port Arthur, Ontario. Best wishes are extended to Alf for a long and happy retirement. ART EXHIBIT OPENS The Terrace Bay Motor Hotel was the setting of the opening of an art exhibit b y Mary Middaugh on Saturday.
