EIGHT SEEK ELECTION TO MUNICIPAL COUNCIL In one of the briskest sessions recor ded here the names of eight nominees were chalked up pn the blackboard to contest the four seats'on Council and two were nominated to run for Reeve. The name of D.Rafalant, restaurant proprietor, was the first to appear on the board, followed in quick succession by R.Sinotte, oil agent, J.Clancy, Auto mechanic, J.Caccamo, merchant, W.Roy Bray, merchant, Geo.Ramsay, machine tender, Wm.Kurylo, bleachery worker and Dave Desrosier, stationery engineer. Five of these men are new in municipal politics-- R.Sinotte, W.Kurylo and D .Desrosier have served for the past year and seek re-election. The incumbent Reeve, W.Adamo, was the only photo by G.Whiteley KIMBERLY-CLARK SAFETY SLOGAN Knowing the mill weekly safety slogan can mean a cash award if your name is selected from the draw drum. Last week's winners were Jim Lawrence, Dave Whalen, Stan Sloboda, Roy Nesbitt & Harry Coe. Each received a silver dollar. On Nov.I5 a Wood Handling employee experienc- ed a lost time disabling injury when his hand was caught between a cable and a cable drum on a boat; which resulted in two broken fingers. This was the llth lost time injury for this year and the 4th in our EXPO 67 program. One more disabling injury before June 30, 1967 will cancel out the trip to EXPO.
