Members of the 4-H Club and the newly-formed Lions Club are painting everything in sight these days. The paint-up campaign started with a new coat on the United Church, the fence of the Dutch Reform Church and fences of senior citizens of the town. Members have also started a clean-up campaign and are removing old car bodies, clearing ditches and renovating the stores, to make Peers an appealing place for tourists to stop during the Centennial Year. Centennial in Calgary will be more beautiful The gift of the bulbs was made to the city of Calgary by a group of citizens of Dutch ancestry. The bulbs were imported from Holland to herald Canada's 100th birthday next spring with a blaze of colourful blooms.
