Student Council Bars went to Jim Mikus and Linda Lawrence. Prior to the Academic Award presentation by Mayor E.H.Reed, Joanne Brown, accompanied by Mrs .Ellen Hodgkiss, sang "Cn a Clear Day". The following students achieved an average of 75% or better on last year's work; Grade 9, Susan Graham, Lois Ann Fraser, Pau! Papousek, Tom Knight, Ernest Uzicanin, Kristin sen and Hugh Geary; Grade 10, Edward Petrus, Rodney Mer- cure, Dovid Shivas, Marcia Hamilton, Valerie Turner and Jane Kelty; Grade 11, Deborah Stewart, Carole Gaudet, Lita Marie Boudreau, Jane West and Keith Koski; Grade 12, Bonnie Beddard. Mr. J.Ferrier, manager of Kimberly-Clark Pul p and Paper Company made a few comments, remark- ing that while he was in Wisconsin this summer, parents of high school students repeatedly told him that it was not unusual for 80 to 100% of the grad- vating class to go on to College. This, he said, is what we must expect in Canada in the next few years. He then presented the Proficiency Shields to Susan Graham, Edward Petrus, Deborah Stewart ton Jewellers Award from Mrs. F .Soughton. The Knights of Columbus Award for the Roman Catholic Student attaining highest marks, was presented to Ron Falzetta by Mr. R.Sinotte. The Valedictory Address was given by Bonnie TERRACE BAY NEWS and Bonnie Beddard. On behalf of the graduating class of '66 she expressed their thanks and appreciation to those who had made | their education possible. The congratulations of the Student Council and presentation to the Valedictorian were made by Keith Koski. Mr.Rowsome made the closing remarks and the assembly rose for 'God Save The Queen'. Tea was served to guests and parents in the Library poured by Mesdames Chisholm and Farrell, while students filled the auditorium to dance to the music of the Bee Jays.
