Page 8 SIMCOE PLAZA TO BE DECORATED At a special meeting called by the Chamber of Commerce last week, a committee was formed for the purpose of decorating Simcoe Plaza during Cen> tennial Year, and to discover the pos- sibility of dressing up the fown as a whole. Keen interest was expressed in this project, as avidenced by the excellent turnout at this meeting, and the people of Terrace Bay can look forward to a gaily decorated town during the celebration of Cen- tennial Year. ee GOLF CLUB WIND-UP A friendship hour started off the festivities planned for the wind-up party of the Aguasabon Golf Club last Saturday evening. Held in the Moose Hall, that ladies of th at or- ganization prepared 'and served a lovely hot turkey dinner to approx~ imately one hundred members of the club and their guests. Following dinner various trophies and prizes were presented. Jack Phillips was Master of Ceremonies and Coke Campbell, prize chair- man, presented some novelty prizes which equated the playing tech- nique of the recipients. St.Martin's School Board informed Council that Lionel Waghorn will re- place Mrs.Todd as their representative | on the High School Board. A letter of th anks and a Terrace Bayi lapel pin were sent to Miss Canada, | (Marjorie Schofield), voicing the grat=-- itude of Council for her presence at the | Fall Festival .
