The bride is the only daughter of Mr.and Mrs.Arthur Connors, Terrace Bay and the groom is the elder son of Mr.and Mrs. Henry Gallagher officiated at the Nuptial Mass. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length gown of nylon organza over taffeta. The controlled skirt had sprays of lace applique sprinkled over it and the fitted bodice was Chantilly lace with a bateau neckline and long lily-pointed sleeves. Her Chapel veil of illusion tulle fell from a pearl and rhinestone tiara and she carried a crescent bouquet of American Beauty roses and wore a single strand of watch, the latter a gift from the groom and she had a sixpence in her shoe. The matron of honor, Miss Ann Hukkala of Mara- Bay, Ontario was double ring wed- ding ceremony at Hukkala, R.R.1, Kaministiquia, Ontario. Rev. E.A. pearls. Bible Study every first and third Sunday at 11.00 A.M. thon and the bridesmaids, Miss Mary-Ellen Little and Miss Dianne Campbell of Terrace Bay, were identically attired in floor length gowns of re-em- broidered white lace over turquoise spray taffeta. The "Granny" gowns had three white lace ruffles at the hemline and the bodices had scoop necklines with elbow-length and frilled sleeves. Their headdresses were pillbox style with shoulder length veils and turquoise bows. They wore pearl pendants and ear- rings, a gift from the bride. The maid of honor car- ried a crescent of white shasta daisies with yellow centres and the bridesmaids carried nosegays of the same flower. Flower girl Donna Dakin was dressed in re-embroidered white lace over green satin, her accessories were white and she carried a basket of white shasta daisies. The Best Man was Murdock MacLean of Marathon and ushers were Carl Connors and Kaarlo Hukkala. At a reception held in the Moose Hall Mr .Thor Olsen proposed a toast to the bride and the wedding cake was cut by Mrs.M.Paget and Mrs.T.Olsen. For the occasion the bride's mother chose a two- piece pink knit suit with lace front, pink chiffon hat and white accessories. The groom's mother wore a powder blue crepe suit with accents of white lace, a matching chiffon hat and white accessories. The soloist was Mrs.R.Gavin and the organist was Mrs .C .Buck. A wedding breakfast was held in the Church Hall and Rev.E.A.Gallagher proposed a toast to the bride. Following a honeymoon in the U.S.A. the couple took up residence in Marathon Attending the wedding from out of town were Mr. and Mrs.H.Hukkala and Kaarlo, Mr.and Mrs.V.
