COUNCIL QUOTES Copies of a resolution regarding the proposed home for the aged will be sent to the premier of Ontario, the ministers of Welfare and Municipal Affairs, the Liberal and NDP leaders, other municipalties con- cerned and to the Board of Directors of the Home for the Aged. The resolution brings up the question of the muni- cipalities where a by-law has been passed providing for construction of a Home for the Aged. It was with regret that Council accepted the re- signation of Frank Strutt who has served faithfully as Clerk-Treasurer for many years. The appointment of Bill Hanley as his successor was approved. The appointment of Mrs.M.Simmer as full-time clerk- stenographer was also passed. Third reading was given to a by-law concerning accumulative sick leave and first, and second read- ings were given to the rates by-law for 1966, author- izing the collection of taxes from ratepayers.
