ROSSPORT CURLING CLUB (Continued from P.II and kitchen. The president, Mrs.Anne Todesco, gave a resume of the club's activities during the y ear and thanked those who helped in any way. Election of officers took place with the following results:- President, Mrs.Anne Todesco - Vice- president, Tom Yandon = Secretary, Joyce Yandon and Treasurer, Chas .Todesco. No general meeting will be held during the sum- mer. A two-way draw took place with Joe Wills and Ida Duncan drawing the names of James Boddy of Red Rock and John Gross of Terrace Bay winning first and second prizes. Following adjournment a coffee break was held. Presentation of the Cham- pionship Trophy by Mrs.Todesco was made to Dave Mushqush and his team of Hilda Mushqush, Ida Duncan and Josephine Gerow. Tourists from Western Canada and U.S.A. are now passing through the district with many camping in their own trailers. Most of the tourists came to the area to fish while the remainder were travelling to other points on vacation. So far the majority of the visitors are Canadian. SCHREIBER CATHOLIC WOMEN"S LEAGUE The new executive were in charge of the May meeting of the Catholic Women's League last Sun- day and thirty-six were present. Mrs.Nora Mc- Guire presided. Standing convenors reported as follows:- Mrs. Edna Cocks, spiritual - the Rosary is being said daily at 2 p.m. for world peace. Mrs.Dora McGrath, Educational - described the changes made in the Legion scholarship for the high school and and increasing number of adults and children using the parish library. Mrs.lrene Moorey, citi- zenship - members aided in the cancer drive and at the T.B.Clinic. Mrs.Gloria Mullins - social action - on donations of clothing. Mrs.Jackie Tremblay - Guides & Brownies - the second Mother and Daughter Banquet. Mrs.Mary Shack - Catho- lic Girls Club - plans are made for the enacting of the Living Rosary and the Crowning of Our Lady May 29th at 7.15 p.m. Mrs.lrene Borutski - Radio KOLESAR"S SPORTING BAR FISHING TACKLE RODS = REELS - LINE - HOOKS - = COLEMAN STOVES - LANTERNS - - COLEMAN PARTS KIT - GOLF EQUIPMENT - COMPLETE ASSORTMENT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY - PLUS LADIES' SIZE Rae sks Simcoe Plaza - Terrace Bay, Ontario - Phone 3327 and T.V. & Films - thanked CKPR-TV for featuring the program "Teach=in on the Vatican Council". Mrs .Loretta Cataford asked members to save Canada Packer Labels. Mrs.Shack, Mrs.Cocks and Mrs.McGuire reported on the highlights of the Fort William Diocesan Con- vention. Plans were made for a cooking school in the Guild . Hall on June 8th sponsored by the H.E.P.C., tickets from League members. Members were asked to answer June roll call with tea towels for kitchen supplies. Fa ther Cano spoke on the new liturgical changes in the church. The Pot of Gold was won by Jackie Tremblay and -a coffee hour following the meeting was arranged by the new executive.
