SNOW FESTIVAL '66 has attracted some special guests who are planning to take in the festivities in February. Mayor Saul Laskin from Port Arthur and Mayor Ernie Reed of Fort William have both indicated their interest and are willing to chal- lenge our local Reeve, William Adamo, to a snow shoe race. EXHIBITION HOCKEY A special event on Thursday, December 16, is an exhibition hockey game between Manitouwadge Intermediate and the Schreiber-Terrace Bay Juniors at 8:00 P.M. in the Terrace Bay Arena. NEWS SKI CLUB NEWS The Ski Club is now in full, operation with all trails in perfect condition. The tow will be in operation Tuesday nights and Friday nights from 7:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. and Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon from 1.30 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Improvements at the Club area this year include a new and bigger club house (oil heated); a new tow rope and approximately 100% increase in 'ski-able area, including a new easy'slope a quarter of a mile long--all serviced by the tow. With their improvements and the abundance of snow we are looking forward to a "REALLY BIG" year. Merberships will be on sale at the Club House on Saturday and Sunday afternoons - 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Anyone not having a membership by January Ist will be charged full rate for the use of facilities. We again ask the co-operation of the general public in--PLEASE - no walking on ski trails with- out skis or snowshoes--no dogs running loose at the hill and no toboggans on the ski trails. These rules will be stricly enforced for the safety of skiers. Visitors are always welcome and with the new Club House there is now lots of room to watch the skiers in comfort.
