Besides the pleasure of receiving this mail the simple little act of snipping off the used stamps can make it worth while--a service to some who are unable to help themselves. For many years Mrs.M.Jones has collected used stamps, clipped and sorted them before turning them over to Missions for the support of leper colonies. Just last year Mrs.Jones was informed that through the combined efforts of all in this area enough money was raised to care for thirty lepers, it taking $50 to keep one patient for a year. Mrs .Jones urges that a little care be taken to rip or cut at least one-quarter inch of paper around the used stamps as many excellent stamps have been spoiled and unsaleable because of close clipping. So please, keep a large envelope handy; just snip of cancelled stamps, pop them in and deliver them to Mrs. M.Jones, 503 Lakeview Drive or call any SCHREIBER ST.JOHN'S ANGLICAN CHURCH - Rev. MINOR HOCKEY NEWS The western zone of the North Shore Minor Hockey Association, composed of Terrace Bay, Schreiber, | Nipigon and Red Rock, held a meeting last Friday at Gravel River. Present were Bill Seguin from Red Rock, Reg Bailey and Bill Stefurak from Schreiber and Joe Adamo from Terrace Bay. The purpose of the meeting was to get underway the 1966 minor hockey program. Because of the general drop of minor hockey regis- trations, steps were discussed and a policy change from last year adopted in order to promote added in- terest in participation. It was agreed that that the formation of all-star teams to be discontinued during the season. The aim of the clubs this year is to give every boy, despite his ability, equal opportunity and ice time during the season. An all-star team will be organ- ized at the end of the season for the district play- downs. Since there is only one bantam team in each town steps are now being made to organize a league and a schedule so planned that each team will make one trip a month. At the end of the season the bantanis will play off with the adjacent town (Continued P.4) } member of the Afte Branch of the Ladies eau an S v ESN sake VES POBIR SESE AY Sea SISSY NSE
