Completion of the first round of di- visional curling ended November 30th with the Thorsteinsen rink of Kay Thor- steinsen, Elaine Zwir, Betty Randa and Beverley Phillips winning all their games to put them in first place. Second place was taken by Betty Bouchard, Elizabeth Burns, Althea Fraser and Fran Gerow. The second round of curling commen- ced on Thursday, December 2nd. On the whole it appears that the ladies will have a very good season of curling. MOOSE LADIES (Continued) Teresa Guadet volunteered her home for this and Betty Randa will do the collecting. Social Service Chairman Ann Todes- co and her committee were in charge of lunch and members exchanged Xmas gifts. A raffle was also held and won by Armie Cole. Senior Regent Marjorie Dejonghe presided and recorder Barbara Dejonghe read the minutes. Junior Grad- vate Regent Ann Didura moved that we make a lunch and take a silver collection among the members for the family leaving here for Mooseheart. (Next col .) Prospective Brier Curlers are urged to make up their teams for the local Northwestern playoffs which will be held early in the New Year. Let's have at least six teams. ROOKIE RINK STILL GOING STRONG Emil Boucher's rookie rink moved from C Division to "A" after the first round of play and immediately proceeded to show all and sundry that they are not out -classed by dumping the powerful Olsen quartet. It begins to appear that the Club Championship is really 'up for grabs' this year.
