Roger Morgan is posted to HMCS Bonaventure in Halifax. CATHOLIC GIRLS PLAN PROJECTS The Catholic Girls Club held their regular meeting on September |2th with fifty-nine present. Five new members were welcomed, Aileen Ross, Cathy Stokes, Rosemary Speziale, Lola Scott and Susan Dimmery . Lenore O'Brien presided for the meeting. Sandra Ross reported on the member's summer trip to North Bay and Betty McGuire reported on the vacation workshop in Keewatin. A Hallowe'en Dance was planned for Friday, Oct.. 22nd in the Guwiild Hall and a Bake Sale will be held. on September 25th in the Joe Cebrario Hardware. The Draw Prize for the meeting was won by Colleen Mclsaac and Cora Spadoni. Mrs.H.Shack left Sunday to accompany Rev.R.A. Cary and Mrs.F.A.Helmink on their Regional tour of the Fort William Diocese, visiting Catholic Women's League organizations. Mr.and Mrs.V.E.Everitt accompanied their daugh- ter Cheryl to Montreal where she enters her third year at McGill University. Mr.and Mrs.Everitt will visit in the city and in other centres in Ontario. The Women's Auxiliary of St.John's Anglican Church held their first Fall meeting on September 8 and made plans for a bake sale in the Church Hall on September |6th. ST. Sunday evening at 7:30 P.M. an Adult Study Group will be held on"Jesus, Life and Ministry St. Andrew's United Church are celebrating their 80th anniversary this year on October 17th, with special services as follows: Rev. William Holmes will preach in the morning and Dr. Arthur Lavender will preach in the evening REPORTS GIVEN AT RUBY REBEKAH MEETING Mrs. Jessie McCanna, N.G. and Mrs.Mary Hus- band, V.G., presided at the regular meeting of Ruby Rebekah Lodge on September 8th. The Charter was draped in memory of the late Mrs.Mary Milks while Mrs.Gladys Madigan sang 'Beautiful Isle of Some- where', accompanied by Mrs.Florence Whent. A lengthy sick and visiting report, covering June to September, was given by the Vice-Grand. Cor- respondence included a birthday card from Agate Lodge and an invitation to a meeting of Amethyst Lodge on September 20th in Fort William; also in- formation from R.K.Williamson regarding subscriptions to the official IOOF and Rebekah publication. Sub- scribers are asked to contact Mrs.Beth Macadam. Mrs.Jean Plummer gave an excellent report on the Rebekah Assembly she attended in June. A special meeting will be held on Saturday, Sept. 18 to welcome Mrs.Audrey Whitehead, President of the Rebekah Assembly of Ontario. A dinner will be given in her honor in the Mayfair Hotel.
