In the boys' 12 and under class Tyrone Williams returned to take home a ball glove, a rod and reel and a floating fish knife. Jim Miller of Lansing, Mich. took away the hidden prize for the last fish entered at five minutes to the deadline--receiving a utility pad and also:the Amer- ican Tourist prize of two days for four people at Blue Water Cabins and a copper tray as the largest entry in any class. Eagerly awaited also was the draw for five $100 door prizes and these went to Gertrude Stark of Chi- cago, IIl., Wallace Giles of Manitouwadge, Cass Harishney of Red Rock, the Todesco children of Sarnia and the really lucky Mrs.Pacholczak of Port Arthur. Councillor Ed Cavanaugh drew these lucky tickets and prize monies were awarded by Kiwanis President Bob Hales. A-stag was held at the Curling lounge for Garnet when he received from his friends and co- workers a desk pen and barometer set and purse. The Valiquette children, Suzanne, Judy, David, Glenna Mona and baby Janet were entertained by the Mac- Donald, Chapman and Shubaly families at a Beach party each receiving a farewell gift. Gerry Weaver has departed for Eureka, California and will be joined by his wife Beverley and sons Richard, Randy, Kenneth and twins Barby and Bryan shortly. A stagette was held for Bev at the Moose Hal with hostesses Betty Randa, Joyce Rousseau and Barb Payette when Bev was presented with an oil painting of Hydro hill by a local artist and a purse with the best wishes of her many friends. Gerry had shared the honors with Alex Crawford when the Millwrights held a Farewell party presenting each with a purse. Karen was the only Girl Guide from the Lakehead Area who attended this Inter-Area Camp, where Guides represented all areas in Ontario. Susan and Judy Graham, M ary Clare Coupal, Kristine Olsen and Linda Ballentine spent a week during July at the C.G.1.T. Camp at Loon Lake. At Chippewa Park last week were the J. Graham family, S. Zwaresh family and R. Fournier family. Doreen and Bill Kurylo and children arrived home Sunday from their motor trip east to Welland visiting with friends, with Dorothy and Murdo Campbell in Toronto who send their regards:to Terrace Bay friends and in North Bay they visited her brother and sister- in-law Norman and Mary Spiess and family. Mr. and Mrs. H. Hermes have had his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Bernhard Muhle of Cleveland, Ohio visiting with them last week. They were
