Mrs.J.D.Bryson presided and Mrs .Russell Macadam was appointed campaign chairman. It was decided to place daffodils, the cancer cam- paign insignia, in local churches on the Sunday pre- ceding the canvas. Collections captains will be Mesd.J.R.Rummery, Oscar Niemi, Joe Campbell and Roly Stortini. Mrs.Jean Plummer and Mrs.Nettie Thrower atten- ded a Rebekah district association meeting in Port Arthur last Monday. Mr.and Mrs.Avery Duncan and daughter Teri-Lynn of Fort William, spent the weekend with Mr.and Mrs.Geo.Duncan, Cliff Dimmery was welcomed home from hospital in Foronto on Monday. Those from Schreiber attending the Canadian Legio meeting in Nipigon on March 27th included Mr. and Mrs.Hobden Spikula, Mr.and Mrs.David Gunter, Mesdames Ken Davis, Bill Paradis, Bill Lidkea and Albert Pearson and Len Hiller. Mrs.Harry Jewell is in Terrace Bay Hospital . Lionel Bourguignon returned home recently after a lengthy stay and successful surgery in Toronto General Hospital . Mrs .Rene Bedard was in Chapleau visiting her mother who is in hospital there. Mrs. Jack Johnson is in Terrace Bay Hospital . Edgar LeBlanc returned from McKellar Hospital on Saturday. Carolyn Bredin. NEWS ._ Earl McCouan, Bill Madge and Ray Niemi have gone to work in the CPR car department in Windsor. Mrs.Earl Glad was in Fort William over the week- end to visit her husband who has been in McKellar Hospital since March I5th. Her pa rents drove to Fort William last week to bring home Brenda Yates who has been in McKellar Hospital . Mr.and Mrs.D'Arcy McDo rald of Sudbury recently visited the latter's pa rents, Mr.and Mrs.L.O'Brien. Mr .and Mrs. Bill Dewar of Fort William were the guests of Mr.and Mrs.Jack Stokes last week. REBEKAHS PLAN TEA Mrs.Glorie Miller gave the semi-annual property inventory at the Rebekah meeting with Mrs. Jessie McCanna, N.G., and Mrs.Mary Husband, V.G., in the chairs. Mrs. Jean Plummer and Mrs .Orel Wright were named representatives to the Rebekah Assembly held in Toronto during the summer. Mrs.Mavis Slater is alternate representative. Mrs.Agnes Bryson and Mrs.Anna Laine are representatives to the district association. The Spring Tea was planned for April 24 in the Town Hall, with Mrs.Dora Weaver as convenor. Reports were given by Mrs.Husband (sick and vis- iting), Mrs.Helen Wallace (Treasurer), Mrs.Mar- _garet Gander (Financial statement), Mrs.McCanna (on the Mar .18 meeting in Terrace Bay). Mrs.Anna Laine stated degree practice will be held following the next regular meeting when a penn auction will be held in the lower hall with Mrs. Ileene Williamson as lunch convenor . SHOWER-TEA FOR PATSY HUMINICKI SATURDAY A shower-tea will be held in honor of Miss Patsy Huminicki, bride-elect, on Saturday, April 10th from 8 to 10 P.M., in the Guild Hall. Everyone welcome.
