Course content will include a study of cur- rent methods, teaching aids and class organization and objectives. Special emphasis will be given to methods of teaching French as a second language. A temporary certificate as Teacher of French to English-speaking pupils in Elementary Schools, re- newable annually on the recommendation of the inspector, will be granted to those who complete the course successfully. After winning two games the girls lost a close one but went on to win four straight and the event. They each received beautiful 12-cup crystal punch bowl sets. EDUCATION PROGRAM AT ST MARTIN'S Observing Education Week a special program was presented by the staff of St. Martin's Separate School on Tuesday evening in the school hall. Under direction of Principal Mr.Ray Kenney, the program was entitled "This Glimpse at Modern Mathematics and Oral French", two subjects under- going a completely new approach this year. Special films on traffic education from the Dept. of Transport were brought into St.Martin's school and the Public School for use during the week--en- titled "Safety Patrol", depicting the school patrols and "We the Driver" for teenage driver education.
