Auxiliary president, Mrs.Lois Hopper, thanked all who had participated and made a few announce- ments before inviting everyone to remain for refresh- ments. On April 8th the Auxiliary were planning to hold a Fashion Show in the Terrace Bay Motor Hotel and the Auxiliary and the Catholic Women's League ' would be handling tickets for the Martha Logan Cooking Demonstration to be held in the high school on April 28th. SE SKIING YOu Ontario's first forest fire in 1964 was discovered in mid-February under two feet of snow, near Kenora CHANGE IN LOCALE FOR C.W.L.CONVENTION Terrace Bay pupils of Sister Francis Therese will e Twelfth Annual Convention, Fort William Diocesan Council of the Catholic Women's League of Canada, will NOT be held in Fort Frances as previously announced, but is to be held in Kenora, Ontario, May l0th, IIth and 12th, 1965, with Con-- vention Headquarters in the Kenricia Hotel. The Hostess Council will be Notre Dame Du P ortage Parish Council, Kenora, assisted by Sacred Heart, Kenora and St.Louis, Keewatin, Parish Councils. His Excellency, Most Rev.E.Q.Jennings, D.D., Bishop of the Fort William Diocese will be the guest speaker at the Convention Banquet. Other guest speakers are, Rev. R.A.Carroll, P.P., St. Elizabeth's Parish, Fort William, and Mrs. H.T. Cunningham, Port Arthur. LUTHERAN LADIES LEAGUE MEETS Seven ladies attended the regular meeting of the Lutheran Women's League at the home of Mrs.F. Eickmeier. Devotions commemorating the "World Day of Prayer" were led by Mrs.D.Winters and hymns were accompanied by Mrs.L.Schaan at the organ. The president, Mrs.R.Kirby opened the meeting, welcoming a new member, Mrs.R.Nygaard, recent- ly moved from Winnipeg to make their home in Schreiber. The Secretary-Treasurer, Mrs.H.Josus, read the minutes of the February meeting and gave . the treasurer's report. A motion was made to pur- chase four Lutheran Hymnals for the church library. The ladies discussed making altar and communion linen when the material arrives. Mrs. Josus then presented her topic on Missions in Brazil and Mrs.Schaan led the Bible Study--part four of St. Paul's letter to the Ephesians. After adjournment a delicious lunch was served by the hostess. MUSIC RECITAL MARCH 27TH perform at a music recital being held in the auditor- ium of Terrace Bay High School on Sunday, March 27th at 3.00 P.M. The public are cordially invited to attend.
