GOSPEL MISSION Sunday School at 2 P.M. every Sunday PROGRAM ANNOUNCED BY LADIES AUXILIARY Mrs.Lois Hopper welcomed members and friends to the February meeting of the Ladies Auxiliary last week in the Commnity Church. Mrs.Clara Gould accompanied the opening hymn, Minutes and correspondence were read by Mrs. June Schritt and Mrs.Betty Turner gave the financial statement. Convenors report- ing were Mrs.Betty Sweet, Mrs.Virginia Galvin Mrs.Shirley Hersey, Mrs.Isobel Ferrier and Mrs.Eva Haughn. Tentative plans were made by Mrs.Galvin and her committee for projects to be under- taken during the year. These include a Delicatessen Sale in April or May - a Runmage Sale in June - the Fall Supper in October and the Christmas Bazaar in November. Mrs.Hersey presented the monthly program as a Panel Discussion on Teenage problems for March, with six teenagers and six parents on the panel. Rev. T.G.Husser will speak on the Spiritual needs, Constable P.Cuff on delinquency in town, Dr.R&.Uzicanin on teen- age morality and Mr . J.Terpstra on educa- tional needs. An invitation is extended to the Catholic Women's League and all parents of teenagers in the community. SCHREIBER ST. A Mission play will be presented in September and at the October and November meetings the topic will be "Know Canada" with a native of each province talk- ing and illustrating his own province. A Christmas Devotional will be held in December with husbands invited and a seasonal dish brought by each member. Mrs.Helen Farrell announced plans for the Christmas Bazaar when Mrs.Lil Harris, April Booth Convenor and Mrs.Inez Reynolds, Doll Clothes Convenor both desire assistance. Con- venors were requested for other projects at the Bazaar. Mrs.Haughn gave a comprehensive report on the kitchen which has been spring cleaned and inventory taken. A letter of thanks from the C.G.I.T. for knitted articles donated to their Christmas hampers was read. The President announced a meeting of the Superior Presbytery in the Lakehead on Feb. 23 and 24 to which she and four delegates are invited. A request for assistance was read from the Mental Health Association, Mrs.Hopper mentioned the Inter-Church congregational supper to be held March 10th in the Moose Hall. This dinner is being given in an effort to further understanding between the two Churches and to foster better fellow ship. The age limit will be eighteen and only 120 tickets will be available to each Church. Supper arrangements have been made by the Auxiliary and C.W.L.ladies. The C.G.1I.T. will hold a Tea on March 6 to celebrate their Fiftieth Anniversary and Mrs. Hopper requested support for the event. The World Day of Prayer for March 5 (Cont'd P. 4)
