FITNESS CLASSES Registrations for Fitness Classes have picked up slightly over the past week and it appears that we will be able to get underway in the very near future. Plans are to com mence the classes once the outdoor weather curtails outside activities. As noted, sessions will be held as follows: Men -- Thursdays from 4:30 -- 6:30 P.M. Ladies - Thursdays from 8:00 - 10:00 P.M. All sessions are at the High School Gym, There have been inquiries about the possibility of other hours for classes, but the Fall schedule of groups using the facilities makes this impossible. Contact people for registration forms in the various communities are: White River - E.R. Blunt, Manitouwadge - R. Hube, Marathon - W. Springer, Schreiber - D. Souliere, Terrace Bay - K. Ward. A registration fee of $1 will be charged to cover costs of manuals for the delegates and a small social windup. The Course will commence at 9:00 A.M. SHARP in the Terrace Bay Recreation Centre and will include lectures, discussion groups and ice demonstrations as well as instructional films. The programme will be specifically pointed to Minor Hockey Coaches and will stress how to teach the basic skills of skating, shooting passing, checking, stickhandling and offensive and defensive play, there will also be a session on goaltending. In addition, information will be provided on how to handle team training, drills, team morale and player problems. Course Director is K. Ward, Director of Recreation, Terrace Bay.
