SWIM MEETS COMING Over the next few weeks, the new Terrace Bay Swim Pool will be the site of two Swimming Meets. On Sunday, August 4th, a local swim meet will be held, in which only local swimmers may compete. COUNCIL QUOTES Minutes of the July 8th meeting were adopted as read at the meeting Monday evening of the Terrace Bay Town Council, presided over by the Reeve Mr. J.P. The following weekend, on Saturday August l0th, Terrace Bay will host the North Shore Swim Meet, where local winners will meet the best from Red Rock and Mara thon. In past years, Terrace Bay has had difficulty in competing successfully, mainly because we have never had enough swimmers in. the older age groups. It is hoped, with more people using the new pool, that more of the older swimmers will compete. Correspondence included a letter to the owner of the Liquor Store seeking permission to build a five foot walk and railing, if necessary, on his property.
