Tom McCuaig and his fiancee Miss Marilyn Luck of Ft. William spent the weekend with the McCuaig families here. Miss Gertrude Cameron, Mrs. Stewart Webb and D'Arcy Webb of Ft. William visited with the Lester McC uaig's this week. Innes West is a patient in McKellar Hospital . Following Mrs. A. LeBlanc's return to duty on July 18, the library will be opened in the Town Hall auditorium while renovations are carried out in the library. Mr. & Mrs. G. Burns and Mr. & Mrs. P. Bolan: and their families spent their vacation together this summer driving first to Dryden and then to a park on the St. Mary's River. Mr. & Mrs. Dick Remillard and family of Sault Ste. Marie are visiting Mr. & Mrs. O. Laine. Mr. & Mrs. W. Sheehan and Mary-Eilen are visiting in Sudbury and points farther east for their vacation. ' Mr. & Mrs. H. Costall and Bruce are spending their holidays in Thompson, Man. with Mr. & Mrs. Howard Costall. Mr. & Mrs. Bruce Simon, Mrs. Bill Gerow and Mary-Ellen visited at the Lakehead this week. Mr. & Mrs. Marvin Ryan and family are visiting relations in eastern Ontario. Mrs. Lilyan Christie and Peter have {ust returned after their holiday in Quebec City, Montreal and at Mrs. Christie*s girlhood home in New Brunswick. Judy Christie joined them in Toronto and continued on to share the vacation. THE NEWS July 18, 1963 Bruce Cuthbertson is visiting his grand- os Mr. & Mrs. J. Cuthbertson in Medicine t. Carl Wood, Terry Gander, Dale and Doug. Cuthbertson and Robin Smith are in Duncan Memorial Church camp at Loon Lake. Mr. & Mrs. Harold McQuestion (nee Tessie Kannegeizer) of South Porcupine, spent the weekend here visiting relations and friends and re-visiting scenes of Mrs. McQuestion's childhood. One of the happiest reunions of the summer took place last week when Edgar Sheridan and his sister May (Mrs. A. McNamara) met with 'Paddyt Bourguignon and his sister Fleurette (Mrs. T.R. McBride). Paddy and Edgar had been call boys here almost 50 years ago and the four had not met for 46 years. Mr. McNamara was with his wife, the party driving from Green Bay, Wisc. The group also visited with Mr. & Mrs. Innes West - Edgar and Innes having called crews together too and some vivid memories of the men taking or trying to avoid the calls, were recalled by them. Mr. & Mrs. George Moore (nee Margaret Hogg) are hosting a happy gathering of the Hogg family at their home at Walker Lake, the ° group including Mrs. Ethel Glenn, Winnipeg, Mr. & Mrs. Neil Hogg, Ft. William, Mr. & Mrs. J.J. Payne and Mr. & Mrs. Murray Ludlow, all of London, Ontario. Mrs. L. Christianson and Lennie leave shortly to visit Mr. & Mrs. Irvine in Crofton, B.C. Mr. Christianson is already there and the group will go on to visit the Roly Cata- ford's in Seattle. Mr. & Mrs, Bob Gray have gone to Whitney, Ont. to be with Mrs. Gilbert Post whose hus- band has been very ill. John Miller of Port Arthur, is visiting his son Wesley and family at the Lake, Mrs. George McBride, his daughter, and others in the McBride family in town. Mr. & Mrs. Henry Braun have moved into the Ben May residence on Manitoba Street. MACADAM RECEPTION (Cont'd) - Gellert, G.. McBride and R. Morrill replenished. Attending the occasion from out of town were Mr. & Mrs. Leo Burgoyne, Miss Linda Bur- goyne and Stewart Goodings, all of Pt, Arthur. Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Cavanaugh who were honored by the community recently when Mr. Cavanaugh, Terrace Bay's first Postmaster, retired.
