Fasan attending, An annual bursary of $100, is to be award~ ed at the discretion of the principal. It was agreed to set a rental fee for use of the projector. A discussion on salaries followed and it was decided to hold to the present minimum with the maximum set at - Cat, 1 $8600.00, Cat. 2 $8900.00, Cat. 3 $9500.00, An allowance of $300,00 up to five years for experience in high school and university, with $200.00 up to five years for elementary school experience, Summer courses were approved and a strong suggestion made that teachers consider two year contracts. The budget for the year was set at $57,000.00, with a covering letter to the municipal council explaining that several items incurred this year are not annual ones - purchase of new school site, payment on teacherage, and loan from public school board. JOHN'S WOMEN'S AUXILIARY MEET. The Women's Auxiliary of St. John's Anglican Church held their regular February meeting in Mrs, Cyril Sparkes home, The Shrove Tuesday supper was planned for March 6, Mrs. JeAo Graham presided for the meeting with Mrs, J.D. Bryson taking the religious study period. The sick and visiting report was PHONE TA 5-3638 Terrace Bay given by Mrs, J. Corbett. Mrs. R. Gray pre- sented the annual financial report. Rev. Re J.S. Inshaw gave the closing prayer. During the tea hour which followed Mrs. Graham presented a jewel.. case and evening vag to Mrs. Baden Plumer as a farewell gift from the congregation and Mrs. Sparkes pre- sented a handsome gold lapel pin on behalf of the evening Group. Mrse Plummer is leaving to make her home in Toronto. The next regular meeting, on March 7 will be held in Mrs, T, Arnot's Home, LIBRARY BOARD MEET The annual meeting of the public library board was held on Feb. 9 with H.M. Ermel presiding.
