HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY SATURDAY The Terrace Bay High School Hockey Team will play against Schreiber High School Team in the Arena here at 7 P.M, on Saturday night, NEWS FROM THE CURLING CLUB The second round of squad curling started on Jan, 8, The first produced a few upsets, Scotty Hamilton pulled a big one as the only rink to win all six games in"B"division moving to the top"A"division with 57 points. Ken Johnson as a first year skip won 5 out of 6 going from "C" division to runner-up spot in "A", This resulted in some of the power TERRACE BAY NEWS Page 9 rinks vacating "A" division, The rinks which didn't do so well are looking for their second wind as round two starts. The new schedule for round two is now posted. Skips are urgently reminded to complete score cards for every game, In addition to the score write win and loss on each side of the card, The building committee are looking for second wind too in order to finish the lounge building, Starting Jan. 10 work. parties by rinks will be scheduled to finish the job. Two rinks will be scheduled each night. Skips will be phoned and a work schedule will be posted at the rink, It means members will be scheduled for work about every ten days. Co- operation is needed to finish the job, so curlers turn out when scheduled or more often if you wish, NOVELTY CURLING FRIDAY JAN. 12TH This Friday at 8.30 P.M, mixed novelty curling is scheduled, The first regular draw will start at 6.15 P.M, For some fun in mixed curling ladies and men are asked to get their names on the roster, or call Sandy Crawford, The bar will be licensed Friday night. There will be 16 rinks curling, Members are urged to bring a guest and join in the fun, There is no entry fee for the mixed curling.
