Fishing 'Contest. Winners weret~ Pike - Billy Shinritt, Pickerel - Billy Stachiw, Lake Trout = Howard Wood, Speckled Trout - Michael Gombola, Guest speaker for the evening was Mr. T. Stanley Hodgkiss, President of the Ontario Feder- ation of Anglers and Hunters. His address on Conservation-presented a new angle to all pre- sent. His topic "Soil Conservation" - how to prevent soil erosion and thus increase, preserv and maintain small streams for better fishing, was illustrated with coloured slides he had taken in Southern Ontario this past 'summer and was accompanied by a tape recording describing ' each tep in the work done on a particular small stream, Various bird songs could be heard in the background, Mr.Hodgkiss is to be commended for this very fine, interesting programme. _ The Club Members wish all success to his future endeavours during the coming year, The Lt.Governor of Division No.l of Western Canada, Division No.l of Western Canada Dis- : trict of Kiwanis International for 1962, Mr.Jack McVey of Fort Frances will:be attending the meeting on December 19th for the purpose of inducting the Terrace Bay Club Officers for 1962, : who are:-- President ~ C.E, "Monty" Paget, Vice-President - J,L.
