TERRACE BAY ART CLUB HOLDS EXHIBITION The Terrace Bay Art Club 'presented their annual exhibition on October 28th at the High School Auditorium, The Exhibition was com- prised of 92 paintings, the work of the club, with the exception of 4 paintings shown by the Schreiber Art Club, and an oil painting and Mrs. McCausland. Also on display, were a landscape) by John Inshaw, of Schreiber, - The Exhibition Tea was under the able chairmanship of Mrs, Wyn McKechnie.: The tea the fruit centre piece, flanked by white tapers, providing a dramatic touch of colour, might have tea while contemplating the show, The tables each had a floral centre piece arranged 'by Mrs. M, Middaugh, The pourers were as follows: Mrs. M. McCausland, Mrs, A, Hartman, Mrs, R, Lee, Mrs. W. Anderson, Mrs, J, Ferrier, Mrs. A, Sinkins, Mrs. R. Smith and Mrs, A. Chadney. The servitors were Miss Margot Anderson, and Miss Alice Jean McKechnie, assisted in the kitchen by members of the club. A demonstration of palette knife painting was given by Mrs. S, Gaulin. Crandlemere, 'wea Hydro Superintendent, drew the winning ticket, The T, Eaton award; a Parker pen, and pencil set, was presented for the first time 'this year, This award was given to the artist whose picture received the most viewer votes. Mrs, H, Hall presented the award to Mrs, Mary Middaugh, whose painting "Indian Summer" received the most» votes... Prospective purchasers of the paintings displayed for sale were given a chance to make their selection and several sales were negotiated.
