Mr.& Mrs. Gordon Calder and children arri- ved home Saturday after a weekts visit in Sioux Lookout with relatives. Mr.& Mrs.Wilf Mallais and family returned last week from their vacation at Kapuskasing where they visited with relatives. BEDDARD-BRISCO VOWS EXCHANGED JULY 8TH Pink and waite gladioli adorned the altar and crystal bowls of pink snapdragons and white mums were placed on the chancel while white satin bows marked the guest pews in the Terrace Bay Community Church on the even- ing of July 8th, for the candlelight wedding of Diane Sheila Beddard and Donald C.R. Briscoe, The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr.& Mrs. James Beddard of Terrace Bay and the groom is the son of Mrs.Alice Briscoe of North Bay, Ontario. The Rev. A gown of ivory brocade was chosen by the bride who was given in marriage by her Father. The gown was styled on classic lines with a softly rounded neckline outlined with re- embroidered florets of brocade touched with irridescents and the long sleeves ended in lily points, The bouffant skirt, which was gathered to the corded waisline was in con- trast to the princess front, A petite crown | of pearls and drops held her petal tiered veii: of unhemmed illusion and she carried an off- hand cascade of pink Delight roses, leather- leafing intermingling with white satin em- bossed ribbon, Maid of honour was Miss Betty MacFadyen and: the Bridesmaid and Junior Bridesmaid, Misses Bonnie and Janice Beddard were sisters of the bride, The attendants were gowned alike in crushed raspberry organza over taffeta. The bodices were fashioned with scoop neck- lines--the maid of honour having bracelet sleeves and the bridesmaids having cap sleeve The skirts were semi-belled and gathered to crushed cumberbunds bowed at the back, They wore organza mittens, double net hats and carried off-hand cascades of white miniature and Dale carnations. Mr,Richard Briscoe of Elliot Lake was groomsman for his brother and ushering the guests were Messrs.Richard Rowson and Keith Sitch, both of Terrace Bay. At a reception in the Moose Hall, Mrs. Beddard received in Mauve and white organza covered sheath topped with a three-quarter length matched Juster. Her accessories were in white and she wore a corsage of carnations.' Mrs.Briscoe, who also received, chose a boleroed sheath of cornflower blue in linen and lace. Her accessories were in white and ; her corsage was of Pink Delight roses. t The buffet table was covered with an ecru lace cloth, centred with a silver bowl of white mums and pink snapdragons and flanked by: white tapers in silver candlelabra. The three tier wedding cake, nested in tulle, was also offset by white tapers in crystal candlelabra and was ornamented by a miniature vase of pink sweetheart roses, Mrs, Rune Ostling cut the cake and Mrs,.Ted Young was dining room Hostess.
