Very Reverend Monsignor Devine, Rector of the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption of North Bay spent a few days last week visiting his Aunt and Uncle, Mr.& Mrs, Ed, Cavanaugh, Mr, & Mrs, A, E, Hartman and their child- ren Laura and William have arrived from Delhi, Ontario and taken up residence at 161 Birch Crescent, Mr. Hartman will be the Principal of Terrace Bay High School this year. He and his wife are greatly impressed with the beauty of this district. Mr.& Mrs. Bob Piper of Fort William were weekend visitors with the Jack Wellings, Beverley Phillips returned home Sunday after a month's visit with her aunt, Mrs,H, Dale in Fort Frances, Mrs, J.M.Brown left Sunday for Vancouver, B.C, after a two week visit with Ruby and Harry Smith. Mr.&@ Mrs, Albert Lecroix have returned to their home in Dupuy, Que., following a week's visit with their daughter and son-in-law, Pierette and Garnet Valiquette. A nephew and wife, Mr.& Mrs, Pat Donelly of Kapuskasing were also visitors for the weekend, Germaine and Tony Delaronde and children holidayed in Fort William with Mrs. J,Morin and camping near Geraldton. Mr.& Mrs, Alex Marquis accompanied by Mr. & Mrs, Ken MacKay of Ft.William visited Duluth and Wienipeg during their holidays, with the Maclays returning for a visit here, Mr.& Mrs. G,.Calder and family vacationed in Ft,Frances with both their families and attended a reception there for Gordon's brother Gary who was married July 23rd to Miss Pat Pyson in Vancouver, © Mr.&@ Mrs, Jim Rowley & children are home from a vacation at Beth Lake, Ontario where A.W,Harris of Smith Falls. Mr.& Mrs. Bruce Larson and children motored with her parents, Mr.& Mrs.Walter Lundeen and Beverley of Eagle River to Niagara Falls to visit with Bun's sister and family and return- ed via the States visiting with relatives in Ashland, Wisconsin. Mr.& Mrs,Jim Cumming and daughters, accom- panied by her sister and son from Portage La Prairie, motored to Toronto where they visited his parents, Mr.& Mrs.A.F,Cumming and his brother and sister-in-law, Mr.& Mrs, R.B,Cumming, Marge and Scotty Hamilton and family en- joyed a holiday at Blue Lake, Ontario over the past ten days. NURSES ASSOCIATION HOLD SUCCESSFUL CARD PARTY ~~ 'The Nurses Association wish to express their grateful thanks to the Moose Lodge and the Masonic Lodge, also to the many people responsible for making the recent card party a success, Net Proceeds were $140.54, This amount will be handed over to the Retarded Children's Fund in the very near future, Bridge and Cribbage winners were as fol- lows:-- Ladies Bridge - Rita Newell, High and Marge Hutchinson, Low: Men's Bridge - John Graham, High and Joe Kennedy, Low: Ladies Cribbage - Joan Costall, High and Fran.
