Mr. Tom Saunders of Toronto, who was in the Lakehead last week attending the Ontario Secondary School Federation meeting, spent Sunday in Schreiber visiting old friends and as a guest of Mr. & Mrs, Bruce Simon. Mr. Harry Jartus of the Schreiber Hydro Commission has just returned from Athabasca, Alta., where he attended the funeral of his father, Mr, M, Jartus, who was fatally injured in an accident. KINNETTE CLUB --Mrs. A. Gordon presided at a recent meeting of the Kinnette Club held in the home of Mrs. R.W. Turner. Election of officers was held with the following results: Pres, I, Lidkea; Vice-Pres. G, Davis; Sec'y., J. Riley; Treas. L. Bailey; Bull. Hd., J. Gunter. The new hospital bed table is avail- able for use by residents of the community. Dress of the Month was won by A. Fummerton. The next meeting, June 8th, will be a "supper meeting", St, John's W.A. held their final meeting of the season with Mrs. T. Wilson presiding. It was announced that a box of bazaar articles are on hand and may be purchased at any time by contacting Mrs. Wilson. Following the business meeting cards were played with prizes going to Mrs. D. Evans of Sudbury, Mrs. J. Stitt and Mrs. Wilson. A pot luck lunch was served. The next meeting will be held September 14th. St. John's Ambulance Brigade met last night' with Mrs. H. Jartus presiding.
