Ibbetson, Q.C. acted for the Crown, © T.C.Brooks of Rossport forfeited bail on a charge of failing to report. H.Jewel and Joseph Nagy of Rossport and Schreiber each forfeited bail on charges of driving with- out a license. Gary Lesarge of Nipigon forfeited bail on a charge of obtaining liquor while still a minor. Provincial Constable W.J.Cringle inves- tigated each of these cases. Two Schreiber residents, charged under the Liquor Act as unlawful agents were each fined $100 and costs or one month in jail, On charges of unlawfully obtaining a permit and obtaining liquor stilla minor fines of $15.00 and costs or ten days were meted out on each count. A common assault charge brought fines of $50.00 and costs or one month in jail. Fines and costs were paid. Crown Attorney P.V,Ibbetson, Q.C. prosecuted and Mr. A.Petrone of Port Arthur acted for the defense, Provincial Constables! F.J.Einarson and K, Scott were the inveti- gating officers. . At Magistrate's Court held in Marathon on April 21st with Magistrate T.A.Connor presiding, two Heron Bay residents forfeited bail on Highway Traffic Act charges. Two also forfeited bail on charges under the Liquor Control Act. G.Lambert of Marathon was convicted of Impaired Driving and was fined $150 and costs and license suspended for three months, L.B.Jacques convicted of careless driving also'was fined $25.00 and costs, Prov. Constable S,Hautanen investigated. Six Manitouwadge residents forfeited bail on charges of creating a disturbance in a public place and operating a motor vehicle while license under suspension.
