Chal McCuaig (Schreiber) has brought a pick-up team from the village nearby his Army Camp in Germany into the play-offs in Junior Hockey by using Canadian-style hockey. So good are his lads that Kessling, the best trainer in Germany, who trains the team which plays Canada, is being brought to coach the opposing team. A practice period of the Deilinghoff team, and also the play-offs are being televised. A crowd of 1,500 fans follow the fortunes of the hitherto unknown team and Chal and his bepys were mightily pleased when Kessling asked for a discussion on the style of hockey played by them. | ROLLER SKATING SEASON STARTS MAY 14TH The roller skating season will open on May 14th! There wiil be Thursday night DAY NEws Vol.2, No.7 April 30th, 1959 sessions from 7-10 P.M. weekly from May 14th until October 1st. Prices will be the same as last year, During the months of July and August only there will be Sunday night skating from 8-10 P.M. | Added attractions this year include: (1) | specially taped music by Arnold Studios in Toronto.
