MACDONALD APPOINTED QUEEN SCOUTS On Saturday, April 4th a Queen Scout Recog- nition Ceremony was held at the Manitoba Legislative Buildings in Winnipeg. Attending this ceremony were Queen Scouts Gary Crandlemire and Bruce MacDonald of Terr- ace Bay. The boys, along with seventy-five other Queen Scouts, were presented to the Honour- able J.S.MacDiarmid, Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba who presented each with his Queen Scout Certificate. ' The Queen Scout badge is the highest award which a boy may attain in Scouting and represents considerable work in addition to being a great honour. Congratulations Gary and Bruce. The following officers were elected at the annual-meeting of the Terrace Czy Hockey Association?:- President - Ken Hutchinson, Vice-President - Jim Bradley, Secretary - Reg. LADIES CURLING CLUB HOLD. ANNUAL BONSPIEL On Sunday afternoon, April 12th, the final games in the Terrace Bay Ladies Curl- ing Bonspiel were played. There were thirty- two rinks competing for prizes in the three event affair. The Spiel got under way on Friday morning with Ed.Cavanaugh, Post Master, or the first rock. The winners were presented with their prizes by Ann Latour, Bonspiel Chairman and Hilda Brophy, of the prize committee.
