The boys choir pleased those present with a selection at this point, following which Lois Inshaw was presented with the Legion Scholarship, The Kinsmen Scholarship, won this year by Dale Willoughby, was presented by Mr. Turner. An exhibition of tumbling by a group of boys displayed the co-ordination developed in the gymnasium, Proficiency. Scholarships, donated by organ izations and citizens of the Town, were awarded as follows: Over-eighty percent - presented by Mr, Ermal, Principal of the Public School to Dale Willoughby, Dianne Slater, Ernest Patenuik, Chloe Vanderlip, Lois Inshaw and Allan Holmes, The over- seventy five awards, presented by Father Geo.Epoch, went to Ray Guillet, Carol Holmes, Neil Whent, Garth Skinner, James Bartell and John Halonen, The seventy~to seventy- five group were Paulette Chicoine, Giovanni Speziale, Glorie -Gordon, Jo-Anne Flewell- ing, Myrtle Petrushak, Harold Shack, Sandra Kragero, Bonnie Gordon and Audrey McCuaig. "Rev, R. Crook presented these awards, A one-act Comedy 'The Dear Departed!, directed by Mr. R. Thorpe completed the program. In the cast were, Dianne Slater, Jim Duggan, Glorie Gordon, Ora Mae Harness, Allan Holmes and Bruce Gordon, CANADIAN LEGION AUXILIARY MEET Mrs.Bertha Paradis presided for the regular meeting ofthe Ladies Auxiliary to the Canadian Legion, BR 109, on March 3rd, with twenty-seven present and the following executives Second-Vice, Mrs. Retta Paradis, Secretary, Mrs.Leona Leisan- der,' Treasurer, Mrs,Lilyan Christie and Asst.Warden, Mrs.Chris, Morris, Final plans were made for the bingo on March 13th.° The Legion will again mark Vimy Day, this time with ceremonies at the Cenotaph which the auxiliary is asked to attend.
