- ' | | { | | | { | | i "TERRACE Circulation Terrace Bay & Schreiber SPORTSMAN!S SHOW TO-FEATURE POSTER CONTEST A feature of the 1959 Northwestern Ontario Sportsman's, Show will be the students! poster conservation contest, Entries are invited from Northwestern Ontario students in grades four to eight. _ Show chairman J,D,Evans estimates that "ore than 1,000 posters will be entered fro™ nearly every co™™unity in this region, Pur- pose of the contest is to sti™ulate interest, in children and adults, in the conservation of our natural resources, Any subject deal- ing with preservation of our forests and strea™s, wildlife, etc., is.acceptable, Posters will be judged for originality, the'e and artistic ability. They ™ay be done at home or in school, but their originality must be certified by either the student!s parent or. teacher, A panel of three qualified judges will select the top three posters in each of the five grades, as well as the best overall entry received, regardless of grade. Winners in each of the five grades will receive flash ca™era outfits, with second and third winners receiving an art supply kit and a pair of nature books.
