MARY ELIZABETH BANKS MARRIES FRANK MOORE The marriage of Mary Elizabeth, youngest daughter of Mr, and Mrs, Norval Banks, Terr- ace Bay to Frank Fredrick Moore, younger son of kev. and Mrs. Frank Moore of Red- Rock was solemnized Saturday, January 3lst at 3 o'clock in St.John's Anglican Church, Schreiber, Rev, Moore, the groom's father, officiated with the assistance of Rev. Inshaw and Rev.Reimers,. Mrs. Inshaw presided at the organ and the Church was adorned with a background of glad- ioli in shades of deep coral. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a waltz length gown of nylon net, embroidered in scallops. Her headdress was a tiara of moonstones, pearls. and irri- descents holding a fingertip veil of silk illusion net and she carried a white Bible overlaid with sweetheart roses and white satin streamers knotted with rosebuds. Miss Diane. Beddard as:Maid of Honour -was_. gowned in pale yellow embossed nylon over taffeta. She wore a pale green nylon tulle picture bonnet and matching mittens and carried a colonial bouquet of yellow baby mums caught in white tulle and with streamers of varying shades of green and yellow. Mr. Lloyd Gauley of Red Rock was best man, A reception was held at the home of the. bride's parents, 181 Hudson Drive, following the ceremony when Mrs.Banks received ina princess styled dress of brown, semi-belted, brown accessories and a corsage of yellow roses. Mrs. Moore assisted in receiving and chose a pink--tweed suit, a wide brimmed hat of champagne color and black accessories, Her corsage was of pink roses. A toast to the bride was proposed by Mr. Don Brearley and the guest book was. circu~ lated by Mrs. Lloyd Gauley, sister of the groom. Mrs. Myrtle McBride, sister of the bride, cut the wedding cake and servitors were Mrs, A, Latour, Misses P. Romaniuk & J. Brearley. A two-tier wedding cake decor-_ 'ated with pink flowers round each tier held a miniature bride and groom under an arch of flowers and wedding bells, was centred on the bride's table covered with an ecru lace cloth. For their motor trip to Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal the bride donned a double breast- ed suit of rose and blue plaid, black access- ories and her corsage was. of sweetheart roses. Mr. & Mrs. Moore will reside at 49 Timmins St., Red Rock. Prior to there: marriage the bride was entertained by Miss P. Komaniuk at a Mis- cellaneous Shower at her home. Weaver & Terry Lee, Mrs & Mrs. Bruce McBride of Schreiber, TERRACE BAY NEWS TERRACE BAY HIGH SCHOOL NEWS Saturday evening the High School played host to a visiting hockey team from Manitou- wadge High School. The game was well played with both teams showing excellent sportsman- ship. For the first two periods, spirited senso esasns by the pretty cheerleaders, the Terrace boys | were leading, however, in the third period, Manitouwadge took advantage of the lagging defence of Terrace and the final score was 7-5. for Manitouwadge. After the hockey game, Manitouwadge and Terrace Bay went to a Teen Town dance held in the Recreation Centre, The dance was a bit crowded but everyone enjoyed themselves. The Schreiber Ladies Curling League will hold a Bingo on March 2nd in the Town Hall. Peter Halonen of Ottawa was a business visitor in town last week. Jack Whent was welcomed back last week after a lengthy illness.. Roy Davis is in McKellar Hospital for an operation on his foot after an gnesaese playing hockey. Mr. and Mrs, Stahr of Fort William spent "the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. G, Krause and Mr. and Mrs. R. Winters. SCHREIBER MARCH OF DIMES NETS $449.29 Mrs. J.
