PR ane-irie-toenigt-tut-erer-erorersen®~ NOTICE RE ADVERTISING POLICY i There has been some confusion regarding this Paper's policy on the insertion of items from fraternal organizations, service clubs, ate cetera. Originally, we were inserting items on Bingos, suppers, etc., from these organizations without charge for a maximum 'of two insertions. These free insertions were om the basis of "if space permitted", We have 'een; criticised on occasion for omitting a notice when the only possible way it could be printed would be to add another complete page co the paper. The addition of an extra page 'for this purpose is impractical and uneconom-- . 'ical. Therefore, from now on we will charge all organizations for the above mentioned type of notice and they can then be assured it will be printed. The charges will be at our regu- Jar rates which may be obtained from the Serrace Bay News Office or by phoning the office No. 3747, We will continue to print any news items 'from these organizations without charge but will differentiate between a news item and a charged notice in this manner; any activity in which an organization is making a charge jto the public; i.e. admission, etc., will be 'considered as an advertisement and will be inserted at our usual rates.
