MEETS -.- Mrs. F.Fummerton presided for the regular September meeting of the W.A. of the United Church. Mrs.G.Gordon was in charge of the devotional period with Christian Responsibil- ity as her theme. Mrs.Ross Greenwood was welcomed as a visitor. The minutes and correspondence were read by Mrs.W.T.Wallace in Mrs.Weaver"s absence, Mrs.W. Thrower presented the financial state- ment. Mrs.0.Niemi and Mrs.Miller gave the Flower Fund and card reports and many acknow- ledgements received. Mrs.Wallace gave a report on the Moore wedding dinner and Mrs.Thrower a report on the Laine wedding dinner which they had con- vened. Mrs.Hiller reported on the cleaning and decorating of the Manse. A donation was made to the United Church Osborne Home in Neepawa, Manitoba. A committee was named to collect names for the annual birthday calen- dars and plans were made for the Thanksgiving activities. This year the dinner will be given in the Church Hall on October 13th with Mrs.R.G.Macadam as Convenor and a Committee of Mésdames Thrower, Niemi, McCouvan and Fumm- erton, It was decided to change the time and day of the regular meetings to the first Wednesday of each month'and the time to 2.30 PsM. At the close of the meeting lunch was 'served by Mrs.J.Gray and Mrs.G. Gordon. 3. EQUAL Terrace Bay New ATER PeyAte Ee October 2nd, 1958. Letters were received from Mrs, M.Mabee, Pres. of the Rebekah Assembl; and from Mrs.0.Forrest of North Bay. Birthday greetings were received from the D.D.G.M. - H.Woods. Mrs,Smith presided for the electior of new officers: N.G, Mrs.Winnie Cle- mens; V.G. Mrs.Mary Legault; Recording Sec., Mrs.A,.Laine, P.N.G.; Financial Sec., Mrs.H.Wallace, P.D.D.P.; Treas- urer, Mrs.Bernice Whent. A joint installation of Rebekah and Oddfellow Officers will take place on October 1: Mrs.N.Thrower will convene the instel: ation. New members were we comed and Sister Mary Rosary introduce Sister St.Mathew, who teaches grades ' and 8, to the parents.
