a Page 9 = RALLY DAY HELD IN ST.ANDREW!S CHURCH The annual Rally Day service was obser- ved in St.Andrew's United Church on Sept. 21st, with a junior choir of 53, under the direction of Mrs. Alex Gordon, leading the singing. Miss Audrey Gawley acted as accompanist at the organ. Dianne Slater led in the responsive readings; Judy D'Arcy gave the Invocation; Jack Gordon the Scripture reading; Sharon Macadam the Prayer and Charlotte Ross. and Donna Slater the stories. Mr.Crook, the Minister, paid tribute to the teachers in the Sunday School, say- ing that such an occasion as this, when their pupils took part in the regular divine service showed, in some part, the educational role played by their teaching, Their ease in taking their various parts might be envied by adults who hesitate to do so. It is, Mr.Crook continued, most beneficial for adults to take part in regular services of the Church, not only so that in the absence of the minister they are prepared to carry on with wor- ship, but for the value of 'the discipline found in discovering and putting in words exactly what their faith is.
