September 30th, Virginia pinned a corsage of red roses on Marlene as she entered and seated her neath a decorated umbrella. Twenty-five friends from Schreiber and Terrace were present and Marlene received a great var- iety of lovely gifts which had been placed in a decorated basket. A few games were played and the hostesses serv- ed luncheon assisted by Mrs.Evelyn Part- ington and Mrs.Audrey Smith, of the bride and groom-to-be, Mrs,Linnea Steen and Mrs,Marg.Doig, poured tea. On Monday, Aug.l7th Mrs.Betty Anderson held a birthday party for her son Kenny. They all enjoyed games, hunting forcandy and the money in the cake and left for home loaded with the many favours, Mr.& Mrs.Jim Rowley and children have re- turned from a holiday spent in the East. Admission -- Adults $1.00 - Children .50¢ REMILLARD - LAINE NUPTIALS ON August 16th in St.Andrewts United Church in Schreiber, Ilona Evelyn, only daughter of Mr. & Mrs,Oscar A.Laine and Richard Henry Remillard of Sault Ste.Marie, son of Mr.& Mrs.,Henry Francis Remillard of Auburn, Mass., were united in marriage. Pev.R.S.Crook officiated and Mrs. J.Smitheman accompanied Mrs.Alex Gordon who sang The Wedding Prayer and Because during the ceremony. The ushers were Neil Ross and Elmer Niemi, Eugene A.A nis of Oshkosh, Wisc. was the best Man. The bride's attendants, her cousins, were Miss Esther Niemi, maid of honour, Miss Adele TeBeltz, Bridesmaid, Charlotte Ross, junior bridesmaid and Melmie Ross as flower girl. A receptian was held at the home of the bride!s parents. Tea was poured by Mrs.I. Lellava and Mrs.J.D.Brysen wih Mrs.T.Whitton, Mrs.E.O'tConnor am Mrs. J.Graham replenishing. Mrs.J.Corbett cut the wedding cake and the servitors were Mrs,Neil Ross, Mrs,Peter Bade, Miss Judy Tees and Miss Lorraine Murphy, with Mrs.Oscar Neimi as dining room hostess, Miss Lorraine Laine eireulted the guest book and Mrs.A.Lamoreau attended the gift room, The wedding dinner was given in the Ynited Church Hall with the bride's table served by Mrs.E.Willoughby Jr., Miss Sheryl Sly and Miss Donna Willoughby. Mr.& Mrs.Remillard left by car for the wedding trip to Massachusetts, the bride travell- ing in a white sand suit, with hat and access-- ories in avenue green, Out of town gusts atténding the. wedding were Mrs.J.De Beltz, Adel and Don and Jerome Johnson of Ely, Minn., Mr& Mrs,Harrison of Atikokan, Miss M.Lindstrom, MrsH.Sammela Mr.& Mrs.8,Gibson and daughters, of Fort William, Mr.& Mrs.R.
