Woods and Miss 8, Leschuck are newcomers to Terrace Bay. Mrs. E. Peters, Miss A.Wood, Miss €.Collins and Mr ,Barry King rejoin the staff, HIGH SCHOOL Mr. D.A.Locking,' Principal' and Mr, T.M. Hobin will have Mr.W.M,Miller with them this year, ST.MARTIN'S SCHOOL, Mr. TsKeimney, Principal, Catherine Smith Verna Vezina and Lois Shubaly will wel- come Doreen Brady and Patricia McCann to their school, WATER SUPPLY CHANGE ON SEPT.3rd ONLY Please note that on Wednesday, Sept.3rd from 8:00 A.M, to 5:00 P.M. the Town water will be supplied from Hays Lake, This water will have a slight discolouration but will be suit- able for all home uses as it is also purified the same as our Lake Superior water, Please avoid the use of garden hose during this time as the supply line of this water is much lower in capacity. PUBLIC SCHOOL In the public school one hundred and seventy-five pupils are planned for. Mr.HeM. Ermel, wocshas been in this position for twenty- three years, returns as Principal with Mrs. Oscar Laine, Miss Gwen Hadley, Mrs.G.Vanderlip, and Mrs.Wesley Clemens on the staff. Mrs. Clemens %merly taught in Schreiber and has, since her marriage, made her home here. HOLY ANGELS SCHOOL One Hundred and nine-five pupils are ex- pected to enroll in Holy Angels School with Sister Mary Rosary as Principal and Sister St. Matthey, Siter Marina, Mrs.A.Verdoni and Mrs. C.Todesco on the staff. The new school room will be ready for use this term. UTILITIES COMMISSION ISSUES A CAUTION. Residents of Terrace Bay are cautioned by the Utilities Commission to check she wiring of their houses before buying Dryer machines having more than 6000 watt capacity. The majority of houses are wired for units of this size and they can be safely installed with no change of wiring. Units over 6000 watt capacity require revisions to wiring in most homes, cost of which must be borne by the tennant or owner, If in doubt as to the capacity of your wiring you are advised to contact D.Boudreau before purchasing equipment. HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY PRESENTS SUCCESSFUL SHOW Past Preseéand founder of the local society, Ab.Farrow had the honour Saturday c f receiving the Wills Nursery Trophy from it's sonor Mr, Dick Maat of Ft.William. With an aggregate of 2155 points in classes one to eight Abts award was well deserved. Judge of the show,Mr.Maat prais- ed Ab!s efforts for his own pleasure as well as in working with others to found the Society. For an aggregate of 590 points in class seven - Vegetables - Willie Mantey received the Improvement District prize of a load of top soil. The Judge's Award for the most outstand- ing exhibit in the show went to Mrs.Ann Stachiw this year for her vase of asters which, Mr. Maat felt, were absolutely perfect. In the Junior Section of the Show the Society Shield went to Miss Ainsley Middaugh for an aggregate of points in this Division. Besides this main award for the younger members, the winners in the Jr,Garden Competi- tion were: The I.B.P.S.& P.M.W. Local 665 Trophy and wrist watch to Karen Moore in the Cont'd Page 0.
