A-R-O-U-N-D T-H-E T-O-W-N Docking in Montreal on Thursday last and 'spending a day there Mrs. Samuel Boyd OF. with granddaughter Molly Harris arrived home in Terrace Bay on Saturday. Travelling aboard the Empress of Britain this completed for Mrs, Boyd and Molly a visit which began to Northern Ireland last April, Visiting mainly in Belfast with two of her daughters, Mrs. Sadie Motes and Mrs, June Clarke, they also spent a month at Bangor, a seaside resort and before returning, a week at Liverpool and Blackpool, and of course 'enjoyed the Orangemen's Parade on July 12th, Another family to leave Terrace Bay for thewst coast last week were Ann and Adam Zyri and family, Adam's co-workers at the mill presented him with a wallet and purse of money on his last day, while Ann's Knitting Club dropped in and made her a presentation with their best wishes. Holly Berndtsson entertained last Thursday at her home for Elaine Zyri when twelve of her girl friends presented her with a traincase, They played games and enjoyed hot dogs and cake, Visiting with Gary and Virginia Galvin two weekends ago was Virginia's cousin Miss Diane Saunders of Arcadia, California, with Mr, and Mrs. Gordon Brown and Doreen of Port Arthur. Rita and Wilf Corrirc2n and family ar home again from their holiday visit to Arnprior to Rita's parents, Mr. and Mrs, Ed Chateauvert and a few days with her brother Ed and family in Lively, Ontario, Sharon Marquis entertained Saturday last at her home at a farewell party for Gilles LeBlane before he left for Regina, where he will attend school, Mr. and Mrs, Mel Oakley were down for the Labor Day weekend in the new car Mrs, Oakley won at the Lakehead Exhibition, visiting with her family, Mrs. Irene Nichol, Mrs. Doris Legault and Butch Bouchard, Another family has picked up roots and left for the west coast --- Norma and Harold McKechnie with daughters Karen and Marjorie who will go to Crofton, B. C. Mrs, Marj. Lundberg held a Tea for Norma last Saturday (cont'd next col.) Pak night and her Bridge Club presented her with a farewell gift and their best wishes, Harold enjoyed a Stag and gift from many of his co-workers last week, Bill Haviland of Dryden stopped in to say Hello to brother Chuck last Friday. Flt. Cadet Catherine McCallum of Port Arthur was visiting with her sister, Betty Ollen-Bittle last weekend and returned home with her nephew Jimmy who will visit his Grandparents in Port Arthur for awhile, Norma and Len Crockford, accompanied by Margaret and Doug Knight have returned home from their motor trip to the West Coast going by way of Canada and returning through the States, Enroute they visited with old Terrace Bay residents who have moved to Hinton, Alberta, and Crofton, B.C. Summer flowers adorned the altar of St, Martin's Roman Catholic Church, Terrace Bay for a wedding which was solemnized at 11 o'clock, September 14th when Miss Beatrice Elizabeth Milks became the bride of James Frances St. Louis. The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Milks, St.. Catharines, Ontario, and the groom is the son of Mrs. Margaret St. Louis and the late William St, Louis of Eganville, Ontario. The guest pews were marked off with white satin bows. Father Gallagher performed the ceremony and Mrs, E, Pineault presided at the organ with Miss Edith Adamo as solist, Altar boys were Gary 'Newell and Don Fedun. The bride, who was given in- marriage by her father, wore a full length gow of Chantilly lace and nylon illusion. The bodice of lace continued into the skirt in a long V panel at the back spotted throughout with rhinestones, with the full skirt of nylon over a hopped satin underskirt. A small bolero, also of the Chantilly lace had a tiny Peter Pan collar tipped with the rhine- stones and with long sleeves ending in lily points over the hand, A double crown in moonstones and pearls held her elbow length veil of silk illusion edged in stitching, and she carried a cascade bouquet of red roses and white streamers tied with rosebuds, Miss Eleanor Ezack was maid of honour and Misses Joan Brearley and Brenda MacDonald were bridesmaids with little Linda Coutts as Flower Girl.
