------ RECIPE OF THE WE Perfect Dill Pickles This is a "never fail" recipe whi ch garlic fanciers will love, 20 pickling cucumbers, 2 pieces dill flowers 2 cloves garlic 4 cups water 4 cup white vinegar 1 tablespoon salt, Sterilize jars and pack with well- scrubbed, unpeeled cucumbers, which have been sliced in half lengthwise. Tuck in each jar a sprig of dill and a piece of garlic clove. WOMEN OF THE MOOSE ; _ The Publicity Committee of the Women of the Moose Chapter 1426 held a meeting over the weekend to make plans for their Puke of the year. Publicity Chairman Anne Todesco lead the discussions. A social evening was arranged for Friday September o to take place at Rossport W. I. Hall, (cont'd next ol.) P, 4 'There will te Cash prizes and a few "Goad Neighbour" games, Co-workers Nacey Marouis, Mavis Gerow. and Edith Hubelit were appointed in charge of prizes. Co-workers A. Testori and Margaret Brassard will take Admission, General Convenor = Annie Todesco. The admission to be $1.00. The luncheon menu was drawn up for the September Chapter Meeting and entertainment for this arranged, Hospital Chairman Viola Fedorak and Committee held a meeting to make arrangements for sick calls etc. A co-worker of the Chapter was called on and arrangements made to give assistance in transportation to the hospital for treatments and help with her work where possible, Eleven members of Chapter 1426 attended the regular business meeting Wednesday evening at the Recreation Centre Club room, With Senior Regent Natalie Coates conducting the meeting, roll call was responded to by Elizabeth Burns, Viola Fedorak, Kay Thorsteinson. Mavis Gerow, Isabelle Delaronde, Molly Gross, Annie Todesco, Nacey Marquis, Rose Garriock, Margaret Duriez. The minutes of previous meeting were passed for adoption. The Recorder gave a very gratifying report on the recent Derby draw and concession, All outstanding accounts were passed for payment. senior Regent Coates asked the members to keep inmind the entertainment scheduled for Friday September 27th at Ross~ port Hall and hoped for a good turnout. :Prizes were arranged for this, Publicity Chairman A, Todesco gave a report on a meeting held by her Committee which met with approval. Hospital Chairman V, Fedorak gave a pleasing report on her Committee's achievements. The members made final plans for their annual "get together" which takes place in the form of a beach party with weiner and corn roast at Jackfish Lake on Saturday, August 3lst. This entertainment is for members and escorts only. Nacey Marquis was appointed to purchase food this assisted by Molly Gross. Members or escorts with musical instruments, accordian, guitar, etc | are urged to bring them along and add to the evening's enjoyment. A motion was passed to 'purchase the emblems for the Committee Chairmen. - It was decided that a small fine would be assessed any member who fdals to wear her Chapter's pin at meetings.
