PROFICTENCY AWARDS PRESENTED The Kiwanis Club of Terrace Bay, for the 2nd Yeer recently presented awards for proficiency to pupils of the Public and Separate School, The Award winners are as follows: Public School: - Maryellen Reynolds, Separate School: - Veronica Fedun. On Monday evening, June 24 at ceremonies conducted in the High School Auditorium by the Separate School, Mr. C. E. the proficiency Award to Veronica Fedun, This Award is in the form of a gold medallion suitably engraved, which the pupil of course retains. In addition the Kiwanis Club have made available a plaque which is names engraved thereon, And in addition, Mr. F.-0. Soughton, proprietor of the local Gift Shop, presented JULY LST - 8 AM. - 6 P.M. Paget, representing the Kiwanis Club presented retained in each school with the award winner's Veronica Fedun with a beautiful wrist watch in recognition of winning this coveted award, There are to be ten Derby prizes. Last year's winner of this award, Rhea Leclair, First prize is a Radio, the other nine will also receive a watch, courtesy of the prizes are as follows: Gift Shop. Camp Cooler, Sleeping Bag, Suede Jacket, In making the presentation Mr. Paget Cuff Links, Electric Razor, Car Blanket, briefly outlined the conditions under which 8 Day Chime Clock, Sports Jacket, Grade 7 and 8 students from each .e..seccoee The draw prize is a Savings bond which can be won by anyone purchasing a (cont'd P. 7) Derby Ticket.
