Nee fy NO Zhe oR Mee Gs SARE RA LL be PORT ARTHUR RED SOX a VS 5 TERRACE BAY Sunday afternoon, June 23rd, the first baseball games of the season will be played on the Terrace Bay ball field, The Port Arthur Red Sox, a member of the Lakehead league, will visit Terrace Bay to play the home team in an exhibition twin-bill, with the first game starting at 1:30 p.m. The first game will be a full 9 inning contest and after an interlude of 15 minutes the second game will start and will be a 7 inning contest, The Lakehead league is a strong league and even though the Red Sox are temp- Orarily at the bottom of the league, they will be a strong test for the home team, There are many good ball players on the visitor's roster including the Bradley brothers, Dardis, Poulton, and others, The home team has been practicing but this will be their first test in actual competition this year. The Terrace lineup will be made up of Moro, Thomas, and Kolody pitching, Hanley, Schritt, and Boychuk catching, Whalen, Osmar brothers, W. Marsh, Hanley, and Boychuck in the infield, while the outfielders will be chosen from Ward, Stachiw, Hansen, Marcella, J. To help expenses there will be a charge for seats in the grandstand, and for cars driving into the plaving area. The charge for cars will be \0¢ per car which also entitles the driver to sit in the grandstand. Otherwise adults in the grandstand will be charged 50¢, high school children 25¢, and the younger children 10¢.
